Pascale Marier-Deschênes holds a bachelor's degree in social work from the Université de Montréal. Her interest in knowledge mobilization and patient-centered research influenced the focus of her master's and doctoral work in clinical and biomedical sciences at Université Laval. During her doctoral studies, she co-developed the online chronic pain self-management program, Agir pour moi. Launched in November 2022 on the Gérer ma douleur platform, this program guides participants in the application of self-management strategies, without requiring the direct intervention of a healthcare professional. She is interested in co-developing and evaluating online resources tailored to the specific needs of Canadian veterans living with chronic pain, in partnership with their families and healthcare professionals.
