  • Assistant Professor, Faculty of Education Sciences, Department of Foundations and Practices in Education

isabelle.prefontaine@fse.ulaval.ca

Her research interests focus on autism, intellectual disability (ID) and developmental delays. Her research program is aimed at improving the developmental trajectory of children with autism or developmental delays, and is divided into three areas: (1) early childhood services, (2) the transition from specialized early childhood services to school entry, and (3) the social inclusion of students with autism in the school environment. Her projects aim to better understand the phenomenon of exclusion of children with autism or developmental delays from their daycare environment, with a view to prevention, and to offer differential intervention to children according to their particular profiles and needs.
