Regular researcher

Ernesto Morales
Ernesto Morales has a background in architecture and design. His research focuses on inclusive accessibility and design solutions to improve the quality of life of people with disabilities (cognitive, motor or visual) in objets, spaces or urban design of healthcare institutions (short and long term), and in particular for patient surroundings and work spaces for caregivers.

Laurent Bouyer
Neurophysiologist, his research focuses on control and motor learning. His projects mainly involve interdisciplinary teams combining health sciences and engineering. His interests include understanding the control mechanisms involved in walking, the measurement of EMG and movement out of the laboratory setting, the improvement of clinical tests with the help of portable captors, the characterization of muscular fatigue during complex movements as well as the use of exoskeletons and software in rehabilitation.

Charles Sèbiyo Batcho
Physiotherapist, his research focuses on the development and evaluation of interventions involving physical activity and new technologies to improve autonomy, social participation and quality of life for people with chronic pathologies and the elderly. He is also interested in the development and validation of measurement tools in rehabilitation based on a modern psychometric approach.

Hugo Massé-Alarie
Physiotherapist, his research focuses on spinal cord control through the nervous system to improve interventions in individuals with low back pain. His objectives are to test the influence of low back pain on the central nervous system functions and determine the effect of conventional interventions (e.g., exercising) or emerging therapies (e.g., neurostimulation) on pain, disability and nervous system function.

Anne Marie Pinard
An anesthesiologist in a pain clinic and leader of a vast chronic pain teaching project aimed at better equipping patients and their loved ones, improving chronic pain training in health programs and offering a training portal for front-line healthcare professionals. Her interests include chronic pain, knowledge transfer, health sciences pedagogy, interprofessionalism and complex regional pain syndrome (CRPS).

Krista Best
Kinesiologist, her research focuses on mobility and adapted physical activity to improve social participation and general health. She uses various methods and measurement tools to evaluate different technologies (e.g., wheelchairs, mHealth) and different approaches (e.g., professional and non-professional trainers) for clinical and community interventions. Her research program is interdsiciplinary and includes both clinical and community workers.

Andréanne K. Blanchette
Physotherapist, her research focuses on the development of innovative approaches in rehabilitation for individuals with physical limitations following a lesion of the central nervous system. She works on the use of different technologies, such as robotics, virtual reality, portable captors and functional electrical stimulation to evaluate the treatment of sensorimotor deficits. Her objective is to reach a better understanding of the underlying mechanisms of sensorimotor recovery.

Emmanuelle Careau
Occupational Therapist, her work focuses on the development, implementation and evaluation of the effects of innovations in interprofessional training, as well as the optimisation of collaborations and socially responsible projects in health.

Marie Grandisson
Occupational Therapist, her research focuses on the development of communities in favor of the participation of neurodivergent children. She is particularly interested in occupational therapy practices that support the child and key players in daily life, while reinforcing the capacities of family, educative or leisure environments.
