Regular researcher

Jason Bouffard
Occupational Therapist, his research focuses on the evaluation of the effects of pain and fatigue on movements in an ecological context. He aims to develop a basic understanding of the functioning of the sensorimotor system and the improvement of evaluation and intervention methods for the prevention and rehabilitation of motor deficits, while considering the effects of pain and fatigue.

Isabelle Feillou
Ergonomist, her research focuses on the work of CARE (particulary in residential and long-term care facilities or CHSLDs), on the integration of disabled people in the work place, as well as on the contribution of ergonomy in the innovative design of work systems or use. She wishes to contribute to the development of knowledge and interventions leading to the creation of helpful organizations and environments, in a participative perspective.

Véronique Flamand
Occupational Therapist, her research focuses on manual functions in individuals with movement disorders in order to optimize rehabilitation interventions aimed at upper limbs in children and teenagers with neurological deficits, as well as in adults with muskuloskeletal problems. She is also interested in better understanding the neurophysiological mechanisms related to movement control and in the development of new assistive technologies facilitating the performance of activities of daily living in a more autonomous way.

Geoffreyjen Edwards
Trained in physics, he is interested in design/development of intelligent environments adapted to people with disabilities, in the development of intelligent clothing, in the realisation of immersive and interactive installations, as well as in the development of a theoretical view of disability and human functioning.

Luc J. Hébert
Physiotherapist, his research focuses on the study of explanatory and predictive factors of neuro-muskulo-skeletal pathologies and the factors limiting functional performance, with a particular interest in the evaluation of muscular function. Interested in improving the quality of interventions by physiotherapists and access to physiotherapy care, he focuses on diagnostic and prognostic aspects of movement problems and physical function.

Julien Voisin
Occupational Therapist, he is particularly interested in the intersection between rehabilitation, automatic learning and functional neuroimagery in human subjects.

Martin Simoneau
Researcher working to better understand the sensorimotor mechanisms and brain-movement interactions involved in motor learning and control. He uses a variety of tools such as electroencephalography and electromyography, or kinematic and kinetic tools to study sensitimotor control in healthy individuals or people living with a physical disability or cognitive disorder.

Hélène Moffet
Clinical Trial and Physical Function and Human Movement Evaluation Specialist, she is interested in increasing the quality and accessibility of rehabilitation services through the evaluation of the efficacy of new interventions and approaches, particularly home telerehabilitation. Over the past years, different populations were studied, such as people with musculoskeletal problems, as well as urinary dysfunctions or physical disabilities due to cancer.

François Bergeron
Audiologist, his research focuses mainly on technological solutions to deafness, such as cochlear implants.

Eve-Line Bussières
Trained Psychologist, she is interested in parental adaptation in a context of autism, in the quality of mother-child interactions and in the role of the autistic child’s temperament on the quality of these interactions. She also focuses on the interests of autistic people and the role that these interests, resembling passions, play in optimal functioning in autism.

Normand Boucher
Sociologist and Political Scientist, his research focuses on the transformation of practices and policies surrounding disabilities and citizenship within a participative approach. His interest includes social policies, the exercise of human rights in areas such as work, lodging, transportation and services.

Louise Duchesne
Trained in Speech Therapy, her research focuses on communication and social participation in children, teens and adults who are deaf. She is also interested in language development in children with cochlear implants.
