The Brain and Robotics Stimulation Laboratory includes several non-invasive brain stimulation systems, including transcranial magnetic stimulation (single, paired and repetitive TMS) and direct current brain stimulation (tDCS). These approaches make it possible to assess the functioning of the nervous system following an injury or intervention, or to modulate the state of specific brain regions in order to increase the effectiveness of rehabilitation interventions or reduce the level of pain. A neuronavigation system guides the application of stimuli on a 3D image of the brain. A robotic exoskeleton (Kinarm) and an electromyography system allow the evaluation of sensorimotor functions of the upper limbs as well as learning abilities.
