Presented as part of Midis PSVI

In Canada, First Peoples are at significantly higher risk of suffering cerebrovascular accidents or traumatic brain injuries than the non-native population. This situation is the result of a combination of factors, and exposes them to an increased risk of various after-effects (e.g. motor or communication difficulties). Despite this, access to rehabilitation services remains a major challenge for this population. The aim of this workshop is to encourage joint reflection on the access issues faced by First Peoples throughout the rehabilitation process. Possible solutions will be explored.
